1030   Ben Burge: Workers Required  (Matthew 9:35-38)

Awake, awake O Zion
And clothe yourself with strength,
Shake off your dust and fix your eyes on Him.
For you have been redeemed by
The precious blood of Jesus,
And now you sit enthroned with Him.

Our God reigns, He is King of all the earth,
Our God reigns, and He's seated on the throne.
Lift your voice and sing a song of praise,
Our God reigns, The awesome Lord most high.

How beautiful the feet are
Of those who bring good news,
For they proclaim the peace that comes from God.
Rise up you holy nation
Proclaim the great salvation,
And say to Zion 'your God reigns'.

Our God reigns, He is King of all the earth,
Our God reigns, and He's seated on the throne.
Lift your voice and sing a song of praise,
Our God reigns, The awesome Lord most high.

Emmanuel, Emmanuel,
Our God is with us now.

The watchmen lift their voices,
And raise a shout of joy,
For He will come again.
Then all eyes will see the
Salvation of our God,
For He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Our God reigns, He is King of all the earth,
Our God reigns, and He's seated on the throne.
Lift your voice and sing a song of praise,
Our God reigns, The awesome Lord most high.

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever.
Amen.

Tell me who made all of creation?
Who designed the wonders of nature?
Whose idea was pattern and colour,
Wonderful to see?

Everywhere around me,
I can see the hand of God,
The evidence surrounds me,
In the greatness of His world. (Repeat)

Tell me who made music and laughter?
Who designed our bodies to start with?
Whose idea was thinking and feeling?
Who gave life to me?

Everywhere around me,
I can see the hand of God,
The evidence surrounds me,
In the greatness of His world. (Repeat)

Don't stop looking, don't stop believing,
God is to be found when you seek Him.
All creation tells of His glory,
For eternity.

Everywhere around me,
I can see the hand of God,
The evidence surrounds me,
In the greatness of His world. (Repeat)
everywhere around me!

The workers are few

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and illness.36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.37 Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'

Filled with compassion for all creation,
Jesus came into a world that was lost.
There was but one way that He could save us
Only through suffering death on a cross.

God, You are waiting,
Your heart is breaking
For all the people who live on the earth.
Stir us to action,
Filled with Your passion
For all the people who live on the earth.

Great is Your passion for all the people
Living and dying without knowing You.
Having no Saviour, they're lost forever,
If we don't speak out and lead them to You.

God, You are waiting,
Your heart is breaking
For all the people who live on the earth.
Stir us to action,
Filled with Your passion
For all the people who live on the earth.

From every nation we shall be gathered,
Millions redeemed shall be Jesus' reward.
Then He will turn and say to His Father:
'Truly my suffering was worth it all.'

God, You are waiting,
Your heart is breaking
For all the people who live on the earth.
Stir us to action,
Filled with Your passion
For all the people who live on the earth.

There's a work for Jesus, ready at your hand,
'Tis a task the Master just for you has planned.
Haste to do His bidding, yield Him service true;
There's a work for Jesus none but you can do.

Work for Jesus, day by day,
Serve Him ever, falter never; Christ obey.
Yield Him service loyal, true,
There's a work for Jesus none but you can do.

There's a work for Jesus, humble though it be,
'Tis the very service He would ask of thee.
Go where fields are whitened, and the lab'rers few;
There's a work for Jesus none but you can do.

Work for Jesus, day by day,
Serve Him ever, falter never; Christ obey.
Yield Him service loyal, true,
There's a work for Jesus none but you can do.

There's a work for Jesus, precious souls to bring,
Tell them of His mercies, tell them of your King.
Faint not, nor grow weary, He will strength renew;
There's a work for Jesus none but you can do.

Work for Jesus, day by day,
Serve Him ever, falter never; Christ obey.
Yield Him service loyal, true,
There's a work for Jesus none but you can do.
